Description: This circa 5,000 sq ft house replaces a 1970’s bungalow on a steep site overlooking Kinsale harbour. The house has spectacular views over the harbour and Kinsale town. As there is no real level space for a garden on the site, a large terrace is a main feature of the house, accessed from the open plan living spaces.

The building is clad in maintenance free fibre cement panels in two shades of grey. As the house is seen from the road above, the roof has been designed as a feature using zinc roofing laid in a diagonal pattern. The upper storey is in a darker shade of grey to match the zinc, and blend into the hill when viewed from the harbour.
