Description: The scheme involves the re-development of the former Grand Parade Hotel site in the heart of Cork City into a commercial & residential development. The proposal is a seven storey over-basement-building with 3000 sqm of retail on the ground and first floor and 50 no. apartments on the second to sixth floor. The site stretches from Grand Parade back to South Main Street and is tranversed by two pedestrian laneways. This allows street frontage for most of the development. The retail units overlook the laneways and enliven the narrow passages.
